EACS mentor & Project supervisor: Who's who

1) The EACS mentor is the contact person within EACS and should be chosen among the members of the Steering Committee, the EACS Governing Board members or the EACS Regional Representatives. They have no direct involvement in the project and will only intervene at the request of the fellow if issues arise which affect the fellow's ability to progress in his project/programme. The EACS mentor can also intervene at the request of the supervisor if there are issues with the fellow.

The EACS mentor must be different from the project supervisor.

If the candidates cannot identify an EACS mentor, the Steering Committee can appoint the mentor for them.

2) The project supervisor is the clinician who works at the clinical centre and tutors the fellow on the project.

The project supervisor can be the same person as the host institution legal representative.
