Prize for European HIV Research at EACS 2025
To recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements in HIV research, EACS is proud to present two prestigious awards at the 20th European AIDS Conference (EACS 2025), taking place from 15-18 October 2025 in Paris.
Previously supported by the H.W. & J. Hector Foundation, these awards continue in 2025 with valued new support from ANRS | Emerging Infectious Diseases and NEAT-ID. Each award carries a prize of €20,000 and honours exceptional peer-reviewed publications in the field of HIV research.
ANRS MIE Award for the Best Basic/Translational Paper on HIV
Presented by: ANRS | Emerging Infectious Diseases
Dotation: €20,000
Focus: Best peer-reviewed basic science or translational paper in HIV research
Eligibility: Papers accepted or published in a peer-reviewed journal between October 2023 and October 2025.
NEAT-ID: The Anton Pozniak Award
Presented by: NEAT-ID
Dotation: €20,000
Focus: Best clinical and/or epidemiological paper in HIV research
Eligibility: Papers accepted or published in a peer-reviewed journal between October 2023 and October 2025.
- Named in honour of Professor Anton Pozniak upon his retirement from NEAT-ID. This award celebrates his lifelong contributions to HIV clinical research.
How to Apply
Authors may submit their paper and an accompanying application letter, specifying which award they are applying for, by 25 August 2025 to the EACS Secretariat: info_at_eacsociety.org
For co-authored papers, the lead applicant must include a written agreement from all co-authors confirming the submission.
The award winners will be selected by a dedicated committee. Awards will be presented between the plenary sessions at EACS 2025.
These awards exemplify our commitment to advancing science and innovation in the HIV response.
