The Liverpool Drug Interactions Group are hosting a free online workshop, Liverpool Masterclass in Antiviral Pharmacology (LMAP). 

Tailored to healthcare professionals, LMAP aims to improve HIV patient care through educating participants on emerging topics in HIV clinical management, especially in relation to clinical pharmacology, management of drug-drug interactions and complex patient cases.

Join the Liverpool Drug Interactions Group on the 11 November 2020 via Zoom Webinar, for engaging and interactive talks and case presentations.

For programme details and to register, go to www.livmap.org. During registration you will be given the opportunity to submit a case for the 'Difficult Pharmacology Cases' session. Selected cases will be discussed by the panel during the workshop. Deadline for case submission is 26 October 2020.

Every year in September, the HIV Cure Research Center organises a lively symposium in the picturesque city of Ghent, Belgium. 

Since the pandemic outbreak of SARS-CoV-2, the lab has invested heavily in the initiation of key research in COVID-19 and a symposium can not be organised as before. Therefore, they decided to switch to a hybrid HIV-SARS-CoV-2 online symposium, which will take place on 22 October, in which key aspects of COVID-19 pathogenesis and HIV cure will be discussed.

The 13th International Symposium on Neuropsychiatry & HIV will be held in virtual format on October 20, 22, 27 and 29 and November 3. The content of the symposium has been updated with references to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemics and the perspective of the impact of SARS-CoV-2 on people with HIV/AIDS, choosing topics that might be of special interest to HIV professionals.

20 grants for registration are available for EACS members.
People who wish to register must fill in the form that you will find in this link : https://neuropsychiatry-hiv.com/registration/registration-form/ and indicate the code EACS 2020. They will receive the confirmation of the registration automatically.

On the occasion of the World Patient Safety Day, Lene Ryom, the EACS Guidelines Coordinator, shared a short video message on the aim and structure of the European Guidelines for the treatment of PLWH in Europe and the new version 10.1.

The EACS European regional elections will run from 12 October until 3 November 2020. All European members who paid their membership fee before 25 September 2020 will be able to vote.

Each member can vote for candidates of their region with a maximum of 2 members from the same country. For Germany and United Kingdom, only one candidate from those countries can be elected.

WAVE would like advocate for an online resource on PrEP and women. From our experience, we know that broaching the topic of HIV risk with women can be challenging and an online platform might provide a useful tool for clinicians, especially for those less confident in discussing HIV. We are looking to work with groups who may already be providing online tools for women seeking PrEP or which can augment healthcare services seeking to support women at risk of HIV acquisition.
