Apply for the Short Clinical Exchange programme

Under the umbrella of the EACS Medical Exchange Programme, SCEP aims at promoting clinical, research and educational links between centres across Europe and facilitating exchange of models of clinical care in HIV medicine and allied specialities.

Fellows will have the opportunity to visit an EACS Clinical/Research Excellence Centre (CREC) specialised in HIV medicine for a period of 2 to 4 weeks. The CREC can also nominate a member of its team for a reciprocal visit for the same period of time and with the same financial rules.

PentaTr@ining 2026: ‘HIV & other Congenital Infections’

Penta has launched PentaTr@ining 2026, a programme designed for healthcare professionals managing paediatric HIV and other congenital infections. The course provides updated, scientifically rigorous training on the latest treatment guidelines and management strategies for infants, children, and adolescents.

The programme offers two flexible components that can be taken together for a full certification or as individual training:

Online e-Learning: Starting 20 April 2026, this interactive phase includes six case-based modules and live webinars covering topics from vertical transmission to complex co-infections.

Residential Workshop: Taking place 15–17 September 2026 at the University of Padua, Italy, this three-day in-person event focuses on high-level clinical case discussions and expert-led networking.

Registration is now open, with tiered fees available for various professional backgrounds and regions.

Now published: YING article on highlights from the 20th European AIDS Conference

Following the 20th EACS Conference in Paris in 2025, members of the EACS Young Investigator Network (YING) collaborated to write a summary article highlighting the most important findings from the conference. 

 

The article covers key developments in antiretroviral therapy, comorbidities, women and children, PrEP, HIV prevention, testing and migration, STIs and STI prevention, HIV cure, and molecular epidemiology. 

 

The full article is now published in HIV Medicine (accessible via subscription or institution access).

Join the YING Conference 2026 Application deadline extended!

You can still apply for the YING Conference 2026! The Conference will take place on 5-6 June 2026, in Valencia, Spain.
 
This two-day event brings together a new generation of HIV experts from the WHO European Region, offering a fresh perspective and an innovative approach to HIV across Europe. The YING Conference addresses hot topics in the field of HIV through plenary sessions and interactive workshops. 

 

Applications are open until 15 February 2026.

EACS will cover travel and accommodation in Valencia for all selected participants for 2 nights (arrival on 04/06 and departure on 6/06).

Apply for the Career Development Fellowship

EACS is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 edition of the career development fellowship programme. The programme aims to link an HIV physician in training with an established European key opinion leader, over a period of 12 months, to facilitate mentorship and help career progression.
 
The fellowship programme will follow specific objectives set by the mentor and the fellow and will include:
a) 12-month mentoring;
b) Participation in the HIV Glasgow conference together with the mentor;
c) An optional visit of 2 to 4 weeks of the fellow to the mentor’s host institution.
 
This programme is open only to applicants from the WHO European Region.
