The EACS Award for Excellence in HIV Medicine will be awarded at the 17th European AIDS Conference in Basel on November 6, 2019. The purpose of this award is to recognise the achievements of a senior scientist who has greatly contributed to the field of HIV/AIDS and to the European AIDS Clinical Society in the last decades.
Nominations of candidates for the EACS Award must be made by a member of EACS. Nominations should be submitted to the EACS Secretariat at info_at_eacsociety.org no later than September 1, 2019.

2019 Cooper Scholarship applications are now open for the 21st International Workshop on Co-morbidities and Adverse Drug Reactions in HIV.

The workshop will take place in Basel, Switzerland on 5-6 November 2019.

Applications are due by 11 July 2019 by 12 midnight UK time.

The HIV Cure Symposium and Reservoir Characterisation Workshop will be held in Ghent, Belgium on 16-20 September 2019.
This workshop will comprehensively summarize the state of the art in HIV cure strategies and diagnostic tools to monitor therapeutic interventions. EACS is willing to strengthen basic and translational sciences within the 17th European AIDS Conference and is collaborating with the ANRS to organise a special session on HIV cure. This joint session will be held on Thursday, November 7 from 10:00-12:00.

The H.W. & J. Hector Foundation, Weinheim, is creating and  announcing a prize for European HIV research, which will be awarded for the best scientific achievements in the HIV research area in 2019.
Any paper on a HIV-related topic that has been accepted or published in a peer-reviewed journal within the last 24 months (i.e. not later than November 1, 2017) before the start of the 17th European AIDS Conference can be submitted.

The submitted paper should be sent, in electronic version, along with the application letter by June 30, 2019 to the EACS Secretariat at info_at_eacsociety.org.
