WAVE In Ukraine online workshop 2020

14-18 September 2020

 

This workshop is an on-line advanced continuing medical education course for Ukrainian specialists involved in treatment, care and support of women living with HIV: infectious disease doctors, gynecologists, pediatricians.
The programme includes update on HIV treatment, decision-making paradigms and evidence-based practice in women-related topics.
It will take place online from 14-18 September 2020.

EACS Guidelines from v10 to v10.1

EACS produces the European Guidelines for the treatment of PLWH in Europe. The English version is regularly updated by the guidelines panels. The new version 10.1 will be available on 4 October 2020 in time of the HIV Glasgow conference.

PentaTr@ining 2020: ‘HIV & other Congenital Infections’

PentaTr@ining is an interactive course that continues to develop and evolve in response to the changing needs of children living with HIV and other congenital infections. This year’s online course, beginning on 2 November, will be highly interactive and clinical case-based, designed to kindle engagement and encourage intercommunication among the students and faculty team. It will consist of 6 weekly modules (about 90-120 minutes long), with associated pictures, infographics, tables and figures, references, and links to major PID websites of interest. EACS members can access the course at a discounted Early Bird rate before 25 September 2020.

Interview with EACS Vice President on World Hepatitis Day

"The WHO has issued targets for HBV and HCV testing, prevention, and treatment that we should all strive to achieve to eliminate chronic viral hepatitis as a threat to global health by 2030. A lot of countries are on target to achieve these goals; however, the Sars-CoV-2 pandemic will harm many of these programmes. As we come through global control of COVID-19, we mustn’t take our eye off the many gains that we have made in combating HIV, tuberculosis (TB) and viral hepatitis."
