Abstract submissions are invited for the HepHIV 2021 Lisbon & Virtual Conference. The call for abstracts for HepHIV 2021 closes on 7 February 2021 and abstract decisions will be communicated to authors early April 2021.

2020 has been dominated by the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in Europe. Many HIV-physicians are involved in the frontline to take care of COVID-19 patients and are needing to divide their time between the two patient populations. The implementation of quarantine, social distancing, and community containment measures have dramatically reduced access to routine HIV testing, challenging completion of UNAIDS' first 90-90-90 global target.

The European Testing Week initiative will hold its November European Testing Week from 20 - 27 November 2020.

The aim is to unite partner organisations throughout Europe for one week to increase access to testing and promote awareness on the benefits of earlier hepatitis and HIV testing.

The Liverpool Drug Interactions Group are hosting a free online workshop, Liverpool Masterclass in Antiviral Pharmacology (LMAP). 

Tailored to healthcare professionals, LMAP aims to improve HIV patient care through educating participants on emerging topics in HIV clinical management, especially in relation to clinical pharmacology, management of drug-drug interactions and complex patient cases.

Every year in September, the HIV Cure Research Center organises a lively symposium in the picturesque city of Ghent, Belgium. 

Since the pandemic outbreak of SARS-CoV-2, the lab has invested heavily in the initiation of key research in COVID-19 and a symposium can not be organised as before. Therefore, they decided to switch to a hybrid HIV-SARS-CoV-2 online symposium, which will take place on 22 October, in which key aspects of COVID-19 pathogenesis and HIV cure will be discussed.
