Now available! EACS-ECDC report on HIV stigma in the healthcare setting

EACS and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) have released the report assessing HIV-related stigma and discrimination within healthcare settings in Europe and Central Asia following a European-wide survey. The report reveals significant gaps in knowledge on HIV transmission and prevention among healthcare workers. This lack of knowledge is associated with higher levels of stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV, hampering efforts to reach the Sustainable Development Goal of Ending AIDS by 2030.

New interim Guidance on the Use of Statin Therapy for the Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease in People with HIV. 

EACS has published the Interim Guidance on the Use of Statin Therapy for the Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease in People with HIV. 

 

This EACS Interim Guidance has been developed to inform the use of statin therapy for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in people with HIV in Europe. The key recommendations were formed based on the best assessment of the evidence at the time of writing. As new evidence emerges, the guidance will be updated accordingly.
